One cold February morning, I took Ethan out of the car and looked down the quiet road as I held him in my arms. I told Ethan of the two little squirrels playing further down the road. It took him a while to locate the squirrels. As soon as he saw them, he was in so much awe that he pointed at them and kept saying "Ohhhhhhh...". As Ethan watched the squirrels played in the snow, his eyes glowed and the smile on his face grew. It is wonderful to see what it takes to make a child truly joyful.
Ethan is becoming more and more interactive. He would point at things and say "this" or "that". If you give him the wrong object, he would shake his head and say "no". And if you give him the right object, he would nod and say "yes". Grandpa is perhaps his favorite. Ethan often yells "Grandpa" loud and clear early in the morning, making sure he wakes up Grandpa before he leaves for daycare. After his nap on Saturday, he would have video conferences with Uncle Patrick and Frederick. Ethan would play Peekaboo with them and scare them with his tiger roar!
